With 6,000 residents expected to come into the St Kilda Road Precinct over the next 20 years. Albert Park Lake is getting a makeover.

The St Kilda Road Precinct is expected to grow by around 6,000 residents in the next 20 years.  With Albert Park Lake accounting for 60% of Port Phillip residents parklands, a Master Plan is being created with a 25-year vision in mind.

The last comprehensive plan for the area was created 20 years ago and in that time Melbourne has changed markedly.    From Grand Prixs, to inner city living and future underground train stations, a well thought out plan is well and truly overdue.

The map below shows the draft master plan for the revamping of the iconic park.
